The Birthday Joy Program is guided by a Board of Directors. Each director volunteers of their time to make TBJP a success.
Brooke became a board member in 2024 and has been volunteering with TBJP since 2018. She moved to Friendswood 10 years ago from Washington State with her husband and two children. She has worked in business administration for nearly 20 years. Her current role is with McDonough Construction Rentals, Inc., as an Executive Assistant and Office Manager. She previously worked for a nonprofit and brings experience in fundraising, event planning, and marketing.
She is dedicated to supporting TBJP volunteers in their work and appreciates the opportunity to make a difference in our community.
When not at work, Brooke enjoys spending time with her family, especially the new addition of her grandson, Deen, and traveling with her husband.
Angela (Angie) was born and raised in League City, Texas, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.
While attending Sam Houston, Angie met her husband, and they’ve been together for 12 years. He is a high school English teacher, and they have three children together.
Angie has over five years of experience working with justice-involved youth and is passionate about connecting families to community-based resources—including mental health services and mentorship programs—to support positive changes and help prevent further involvement in the criminal justice system.
In her free time, Angie enjoys spending time with her family, crocheting, reading, and volunteering with TBJP.
Leslie Daniels is a new member of the TBJP Board, having started her journey with us in 2024 as part of the “late night crew,” assembling Joy Bags for our schools.
Leslie has worked in the supply chain industry for over 21 years and currently serves as the Coordinator of Methanol Operations at Mitsubishi International Corporation in Houston.
She is married to Raymundo De La Rosa Jr., and together they share their home with three fur-babies—Luke, Leia, and Obi-Wan. Leslie also has seven chickens, which she loves—mostly because they drive her husband a little crazy!
Starting June 1, 2025, Leslie stepped into the role of Volunteer Coordinator. She is excited to help TBJP grow and support as many children as possible. She believes everyone deserves to be celebrated—especially children!
